I reinstalled Runemate following the release of 2.05 and if I don't manually open the client, I still get the AgentInitializationException, and if I do open the client manually and try to start an instance, I get the same error with the library missing the target VM.
Want me to post the log?

Not the same. If this is only happened once then don't worry about it. If it's happening everytime then report it in its own thread.

Still have the same issue, even with v2.0.5

Is there anything else I could try?

    1. Try with the latest build
    2. Send me a pm with the contents of the folder "user.home\jagexcache\jagexlauncher\bin\", by user.home I'm referring to C:\Users\YOUR_PC_USERNAME\

The latest update did not change anything, sadly
I have no 'jagexlauncher' folder, only a folder named 'oldschool'

It sounds like you never installed the official game launcher (it's now the "legacy" launcher), either that or it's storing it's data in another folder that I'm not aware of existing.

Just to clarify, that would explain your issue...

I've worked out what the issue is.
For some reason, my jagexcache folder is located on my second hard drive, whereas (I assume) runnemate is searching for it on my first. The issue is now that I can't workout how to get the jagexcache folder to be created on my first hard drive.
    Any ideas?

EDIT: Got it working, I think, thanks for all your help, and sorry about all of that!

Where was it located and do you have any idea why it was there?

We would like to know so that if it is a configurable path we can add it as a directory to search.

It was just located under E:, there was jagexcache and the associated random.dat etc
All my programs were installed on my SSD, but for some reason, you can't specify the isntall location (and thus the cache location) of RS3 without using the NXT client.
I just set up a symlink to point the cache to my C\Users\(username)\ folder, and runemate was able to detect it and start a bot

Im having the same problem on my laptop. I have a windows 7 installation on my 1st drive (ssd) and a HDD for storage. I changed it so my documents and user folder etc are on my HDD, not my primary drive (SSD). So when i install the runescape client it puts the cache in the user folder on my hdd. The user folder on the ssd still exists, but has a lock icon trough it, and doesnt accept any files written there.

Ran into this issue today. Tried to start an OSRS script bot and kept getting a AgentInitializationException. Checked error logs and saw following

    Code (Text):
    1. Failed to bind to the game client because of a AgentInitializationException
    2. com.sun.tools.attach.AgentInitializationException: Agent JAR loaded but agent failed to initialize
    3.     at sun.tools.attach.HotSpotVirtualMachine.loadAgent(it:114)
    4.     at nul.IIIIIIiIIiII.int(jkb:168)
    5.     at nul.IIIiIIiiIiiI.run(xnb:180)
    6. Attempting to start official client. If it does not open shortly please do so manually.
    7. Checking for a new game client every second for two minutes or until one is found.
    8. Failed to bind to the game client because of a AgentInitializationException
    9. com.sun.tools.attach.AgentInitializationException: Agent JAR loaded but agent failed to initialize
    10.     at sun.tools.attach.HotSpotVirtualMachine.loadAgent(it:114)
    11.     at nul.IIIIIIiIIiII.int(jkb:168)
    12.     at nul.IIIiIIiiIiiI.run(xnb:180)
    I resolved it by

    1) installing the official osrs client from the website
    2) deleting the entire jagexcache folder
    3) still didnt work, so I restarted Runemate

    and that fixed it.

Why did you guys change from the way it used to be? This new system is more complicated and this bug still isn't fixed somehow.
