So partyhats are getting more expensive over time
would it be good to invest into one and keep it for some years and then sell it for irl cash ?

no cause gold can drop and they can remove freetrade etc.
better put it on a saving acc or try your luck with real gold or something

The gold prices are dropping constantly, investing in runescape items is about the dumbest thing you could invest your money in.

Phat prices fluctuate a lot due to e.g. new expensive items coming in the game, people panic selling their phats and it takes a while to recover. Also the swapping prices (if I can call it like that) keep dropping, meaning even a loss for you if you're unlucky.

RS3 gold is inflating, and the value of it is dropping pretty considerably. Even though you might gain more gold, that gold might actually be worth less IRL money. Probably better off getting the IRL money now and investing in stocks or something.
