For now just bind a weapon manually, automatic equipment binding will be released at a later stage (after all bugs have been fixed).

Is that the icy pressure pad puzzle @ frozen floors?

 

Don't worry I'm pretty sure it's that haha, I'll roll out a hotfix soon since I haven't gotten around to coding that puzzle yet.

 

Hm that's weird, are you still in that dungeon?

 

Basically, in dungeoneering you can 'bind' a weapon so that it remains with your character permanently, meaning you just have to do this process once.

I found a nice reddit post for you explaining how to do so:
'First you need to get the item itself. I would recommend getting the highest tier weapon you can wield, and a torso piece of armor. Then right click it and bind it. Once you bound it, go to the smuggler and go to bind setup. Drag the bound item into the first of the 3 rows on the bottom half of the bind inventory. Press the box on the left of it so it'll be the default bind every time you enter a dungeon. On the right, click the arrow so the bound item will be automatically equipped; or placed in your inventory if something else is already equipped.'

Are you referring to being under attack while solving a puzzle? I've had thoughts on making it kill any threatening monsters while solving puzzles but have not decided yet.

This would actually be very easy to implement, so expect it to be released sometime in the upcoming versions.
