So I was botting an OSRS account and have gotten the stats up pretty decent on it, I am considering now switching to a VPN so in case of a perma ban I may be able to recover it due to "unusual activity" like I have recovered an old account. I do not want to spend too much and as I do not know how much data I will really need to bot 12 hours a day I am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.
Just something to consider... Pretty much every public VPN uses known IP addresses, IP addresses that Jagex know. If they see your account on these, they know it is a VPN address and will likely deny the ban appeal.
I use PIA and had an appeal accepted, but yeah now that’s been done it won’t work for anyone again probs.
i've never used a vpn for botting but i've had pretty good success with proxy6 and proxifier. if you need help setting that up you can use OSRS - Guide To Botting With Proxifier as a reference. it's like $1.25 per acc per month
Nord is okay for general browsing and Netflix etc, but I got 3 accounts permed with NordVPN. Like the other guys have said above. VPN IP's are flagged, and Jagex are very unforgiving. I've had the most success botting off my home IP address, although from reading above, I may try a proxy now.
