Weird, same thing happens to me in Developer mode too. Every once in awhile I've had it happen in the standard client too.

My suggestion would be to look into recently installed software besides RuneMate, maybe something else is causing the problem. Do you play any other Java games? If you haven't tried already I would also suggest a clean install of Java and RuneMate.. and just incase I'd make sure all Runescape...
