Strongly recommend leaving it as the default install location, as messing with RuneLite and/or RuneMate's installation locations is one of the most common causes for problems. In fact, from memory RuneLite must be installed in the default location to work.

It (should) open a localhost URL, so I don't believe this is something that you can "guess" yourself. Do you have a default browser set in your OS settings, or anything unusual that could be affecting the RuneMate client from opening a browser?
