Yea, and Mike is solid. But the variety behind Cuppa's repository was unmatched. Gauntlet, CG, WT, GOTR, list goes on. All the shittiest content this game offers was remedied most effectively by his scripts.

Mike is fully vetted to make on-par scripts. But I'm thinking that we're looking at a multi-month (best case) or permanent hiatus from some of the most sought after bots in OSRS's history.

Depending on what happens with this """"lawsuit"""" , we might be looking at the beginning of a new era of botting where platforms like Runemate, Dreambot, etc, cease to legally exist due to IPR laws, and bots are instead purely underground, like back to the .jar file days. Or worse, idiots like me have no choice but to resort to AI slop code for privatized scripts that shit the bed.

It boils down to a brutal choice: Do you drop $500 for "permanent, private" access from a solo dev in Discord risking he's already quietly sold that exact same script to 100 other people? Or do you take a chance on a cheap, hourly public option, backed only by a reputable author whose platform is currently under siege?

The lengths I go to play this fucking game. I wish I never started this bullshit in the first place

I've got a question, could there be a possibility they are mandated to release the user data when the law sued gets a verdict? this would imply a complete ban of all users of Runemate.

No, not from this specific case.

This is a WIPO domain dispute, which is purely administrative. The only thing the panelist has the power to do is force the transfer or cancellation of the runemate.com domain name. They have zero legal authority to award financial damages or mandate that RuneMate hand over user databases, emails, or IP logs.

Jagex has targeted several flagship clients and filed an active domain lawsuit to shut down RuneMate’s website.

Because of the legal pressure, top developers (like Cuppa) and other private bot owners are pulling their scripts and shutting down operations to scrub their digital footprints in an effort to protect themselves.
