I'm confident I wasn't provided any recovery pins, because I'm super careful about saving those and frankly I just started back a couple months ago here. However, it's telling me I need to provide one to reset my password. I DO have access to the email my runemate account has always used + payment methods. Clearly my forums account is still signed in as well! This is super odd/frustrating.

The only thing I can think of is if it was some pin I manually created back in 2019 (I quit for like 6 yrs) but it doesn't make sense how I had no issues for the last 2 months if that were the case. Any hope in resetting the PW on my runemate account or at least remove my rs account's lock on it?

If you had email authentication set up, AND a code based 2FA (eg: Google Authenticator) set up, then as a security measure, you are required to enter your app based 2FA.

RuneMate updated it's website and a bunch of other things about a year ago, so if you haven't been around since 2019 that is why you're now experiencing something different.

No 2FA ever setup and seems I have to re-login to reach that page so no dice. I don't even know why my password isn't working, but since I have the email address I know nobody changed it. Super weird...

Ah so in my email I see that I logged in using a "temporary password" back in August, so my 2FA maybe was setup in 2019. FML, no way to do anything to release my RS acc? I just bought funds for wallet a few days ago lol. No way I'd have keys that old though. Really weird they let me use a temporary PW but suddenly want me to have 2FA.

I tried to put my osrs on another runemate and it said its already being used, also I have $9.08 in my wallet I'd like to get back, I can't use it apparently..

RS accounts are specific to your RM account, so not compared to other RM users' RS accounts. The only limitation is that you cannot have multiple RS accounts with the same alias. If you are still struggling, start by deleting all your existing RS accounts and recreate them one at a time.
