Woodcutting is a core gathering skill where players chop trees for logs, which can then be banked for profit, dropped for maximum XP rates, or fletched directly in the inventory. Efficiency relies on fast tree-switching, optimal inventory management, and reacting quickly to random events like bird nests.

- 14 Curated Presets: Select from perfectly hand-tuned polygonal hotspots including Varrock, the Grand Exchange, Edgeville, Draynor, Lumbridge, Port Sarim, Seers Village, Catherby, Ape Atoll, Tai Bwo Wannai, the Woodcutting Guild, and Fossil Island.
- Custom Area Mode: Want to chop somewhere off the grid? Simply capture two corner tiles and type the name of the tree. (Note: Banking is disabled in Custom Mode).
Supported Trees
The bot intelligently filters tree options based on what actually exists at your chosen location. Supported trees include: Normal (including Dead/Evergreen), Oak, Willow, Teak, Maple, Mahogany, Yew, Magic, Redwood, and Arctic Pine.
Flexible Log Management
Decide exactly what happens when your inventory fills up:
- Bank Logs: Automatically walks to the nearest paired bank (12 supported bank tiles) to deposit your logs before seamlessly returning to the chop zone.
- Drop Logs: Automatically detects your account's shift-drop setting and utilizes it for rapid, human-like inventory clearing. If disabled, it uses standard dropping with fatigue-scaled delays. A tick-aware loop ensures it never sends too many drop actions in a single game tick.
- Fletch Logs: Uses a knife on your logs to fletch Arrow shafts via the Make-All interface, completely emptying your inventory before resuming chopping.
Smart Bird Nest & Pet Tracking

- Chatbox Observer: Actively listens for the "A bird's nest falls out of the tree" server message, ensuring it only searches for a nest when one actually drops.
- Intelligent Looting: Verifies inventory space and stack limits before attempting to loot. It supports and drop-tracks all 6 nest types (regular + all 5 clue scroll tiers) and banks them at the end of your trip.
- Pet Support: Natively tracks the Beaver pet for RuneMate's progression data.
Dynamic Banking Engine (Based-API v2)
The banking system dynamically builds a loadout based on your chosen settings. It ensures you always have your axe (if not equipped) and your knife (if fletching). Using a strict "deposit non-loadout" rule, the bot instantly clears out bird nests, random event items, and chopped logs in a single, fluid action.

Based Woodcutter includes Discord webhook integration to send live status, XP, and loot reports directly to your server.

Fatigue, Breaks and Account Safety
Account security is built into the core loop. Based Woodcutter heavily utilizes RuneMate PlayerSense to generate unique, varied delay profiles for dropping, chopping, and banking.
The bot features a smart Break/Stop deferral system: it will delay scheduled breaks if you are actively navigating the Bank, the Make-All interface, or Chat dialogues. Combined with screen-fade pauses (ignoring inputs during teleports and region loads) and session-switching guards, the bot maintains incredibly natural session flows.

- Can I bank my logs if I use the Custom Area mode?
No. Custom Area mode is designed purely for dropping or fletching at uncharted locations. If you wish to bank, you must select one of the 14 curated preset locations. - Will the bot use shift-click dropping?
Yes! The bot automatically detects if shift-click dropping is enabled in your Old School RuneScape settings and will use it for much faster, tick-efficient log dropping. - Does the bot pick up clue scroll bird nests?
Yes. The bot recognizes all 5 tiers of clue scroll nests (Beginner through Elite) as well as standard seed/ring nests, loots them safely, and deposits them when banking. - What happens if I try to start the bot without an axe?
The bot features a "fast-fail" startup validation system. If it cannot find a valid Woodcutting axe in your inventory or equipped on your character, it will alert you and stop immediately to prevent wasting your time.
