A little background, I was temp banned 2 months ago for botting, I was then PERM banned yesterday for a major macro. I had pretty much accepted that the account was perm banned, however appealed today. Today I received an email and AMAZINGLY I unbanned with both my previous temp ban, and the new perm ban 'Quashed'. Firstly, has anyone else had this before? and secondly, due to both bans been quashed, does this mean I would get another temp ban if caught in the future?
I can guarantee you that your next macro ban will be 'permanent'. I've had this numerous of times through the years. It's been pretty consistent in 2019 & 2020 in the way they handle these appeals. Below accounts are currently being actively botted on and aren't banned. I appeal one account at the start of each month. If you sent in multiple per month, they just get ignored (you don't even get a response to them. Plus you seem to get blocked by the system). Definitely only works on accounts with some decent stats and playtime. Having a couple of strange IP addresses in your log-in history definitely helps as well. The bans are either removed, set to "quashed" or "expired". I haven't figured out the different between this. There are times where I just got the standard email back saying I'm unbanned. Or sometimes I get a personalized message back from the moderator stating why he has unbanned me. I think about once in every 6 months, I get an old account back. I usually just start botting on it again. The ban rate on these accounts seem to be lower as well then any new account I'd make.

I got banned this morning in my recently unbanned account. Appealed right away and now I'll for an answer. I dont think they'll answer anyway lmao Just gotta wait couple of months to appeal it again. I did not know jagex did that, thanks for the insight! Now I'll feel better about botting my accounts that were banned back in 2015 lmao
Honestly I think my mistake was trading gold to my dev testing account, in which I was developing, thus botting, a dragonhide tanner that can automatically resupply from the GE. That dev testing account got banned and my main consequentially was too. My main has been botted a lot since 2015. 75+ in almost all cb skills, 70 agility, 57 mining etc, but it got hijacked somehow last year and banned. Idk how it got hijacked as I didnt play Runescape for years and neither my computer or email have been compromised. Anyway, I think that 1M gold trade flagged my account maybe? Atleast I finished my bot :/
Were you using a VPN? If not, they will have looked into all accounts played from your IP address once one was banned. I had similar a little over a year ago on a different account.
