I only found this page after seeing it in one of OakDice's recent youtube videos in which he covers how much of the runescape community is actually bots. Interesting watch.
I'm thinking of coming back to OSRS, what are the bans like currently with using runemate bots currently? Not looking to do heavy botting. Last time I did I maxed combat stats, so, just want to get a feel for things as they stand.
It's definitely still possible to bot to high / max stats. I got one account to level 118 combat recently, before going a little gung ho and copping a ban for going like 16hrs a day at NMZ When I was doing 6 - 10 i was fine
Thanks for your reply, if I were to semi-afk bot 4 hours a day/2 days on not crazy scripts bots, do you think I'd be banned quick if at all?
imo dont be running the same skill for days on end. find a few reputable bots and switch between them, should be able to get to 70's before being on the radar
i think it is very important to play by hand for at least the first 10 hours of the accounts life. as long as you balance the mix of playing by hand and botting, you will most likely not get banned. The system seems to be more to detect gold farming. don't bot activities that make a lot of money for long periods without manually doing those hours first.
