You could simply interact with the log, then find the interface for adding the log to a nearby bonfire. That's what my bonfire bot does.

First make sure there's actually a fire nearby before interacting with the log though.

There are a bunch of tuts in the dev section of the forums with examples of interfaces

Interfaces are used as any other query-able object. Just use Interfaces.newQuery().[query interaction].results()
