Even if nobody stole the dragon, there is both a timer on death animation of the dragon and a 10 tick delay of world hopping - there is plenty of time for it to loot. I think the loot was just not something it was going to pick up?

it was 12 hours ago. my pc is shit i usually avoid combat scripts as it doesnt do well usually but i figured safe spotting at the ladder was a safe go, ill re run it after work to night to see if it reproduces or if it was a one off type thing for ya-- and as you said it has a 10 tick timer it was hopping worlds as the loot showed up from the kill
