If you guys gotta take the platform offline for any stretch of time in order to strengthen its ability to be undetected, I'm 100% okay with that. No complaints here. The message just made it sound like perhaps Jagex had pushed out an update rendering services like RM useless so I got a bit worried.

I've gotten this msg before. I just let the RM client update or reinstalled it or something and it went away. Super simple fix.
