1) You can minimize from the taskbar to prevent it popping up and sometimes taking up priority. Just click a lot on other items in diff windows til the os client stops trying to take over.
2) If you have to redownload, it's prob updating. It auto updates.
3) It shouldn't always right-click, but you can turn it off if you'd like. Settings -> Force menu interaction -> Off.
