Is there an up to date tutorial on how to setup eclipse and how to run the code? I've looked but haven't found anything recent.

No, use intellij. That's the recommended IDE and is the one used by most, if not all of the main developers here. If you choose to stick with eclipse and have issues, we might not be able to help you because we're not familiar enough with eclipse.
