is the "focus on lye" better for xp or should be turned off for better xp? a bit confused on that one

Good question.
Because Lye is usually the most sought after paste (as it requires most of it per store purchase) I added the option to skip (by only making 1 out of 3 ordered potions) if all 3 ordered potions do not contain Lye. I noticed an increase of Lye paste per hour of about 5% - 20% depending on Herblore level.

As there's no XP multiplier for handing in multiple potions at once, in terms of XP/h it shouldn't matter at all or maybe even increase it a little as it'll skip over orders that don't have Lye, which are generally the lower leveled potions.

My advice is turn it on, and if you notice yourself missing some of the other pastes you could always give it a shot with the option turned off!

Sounds good!

Been enjoying the bot for a few hours now, i did notice at some point when i was away from keyboard a longer period, it had gotten stuck at trying to dig the digweed thing even though it had one and was standing in the corner for a longer time and only restarting bot seemed to fix that but it has only happened to me once so doesn't happen too often, there was also a smaller one that while it was uncommon, it would sometimes try to keep clicking on middle station but chat message saying that didn't have anything to do on that station even though it kept clicking, although that issue the bot does solve by itself after a while

(note this was before the 1.1.0 that was released today so not sure if some fixed already on it)

Thanks for your detailed description of potential issues.
I tested 1.1.0 myself for about 10 hours and did not encounter the mentioned bugs. The clicking on the machine should have been fixed in this version.
Whatever happened after picking up the digweed is a mystery. If you'd be able to share the logs of that session I could dig (pun intended) into that further.

Took a look at the RuneMate logs folder but for some reason the bot doesn't have its own logs folder? Tried to also look in other folders just in case but didn't find any log file of it
