thanks for the response, i've redownloaded it a few times but i'm having an issue where when i click login, i don't get a browser popup to confirm my login with so i'm stuck at the 'please finish logging in through your browser' place

im specifically having issues when download the runemate client with : downloading the java tm part, i think theres something wrong with the java part of the download. ive tried everything but still not working :c

Any tips on the next course of action to remedy?

Update: I uninstalled RuneMate, then reinstalled, making sure I wasnt using my VPN. still nothing

Thanks for the comments everyone, yeah so I've tried the following, using a wifi hotspot, cafe wifi, apartment wifi, different VPNs, using chatGPT it came down to, a Java error, a firewall issue, a corrupted pack from the source itself(RuneMate). It seems other people are having the same issue with the Java Real Environment, if anyone finds a fix please update the thread here. I troubleshooted the java error by downloading different java programs and running the runemate .jar download through that instead, and i got runelite to download and could open it, but when i clicked log in i never got the web browser authorization popup. It seems its not just me having this issue after the recent update. Last time I was able to use Runelite it would crash the client every other second

Update, besides the couple of people on this thread I've found 15 or so people who are also having this problem with Java error message and cannot get RuneMate to open and are getting a java related error message. This happened at the update time two days ago for everyone. It seems to not be a VPN, maybe a firewall issue with our computers though? I don't know what else could trigger all these people(including me) to be unable to properly download/run RuneMate when we all were using it before the update

Sounds like you've been being affected with a number of issues that are unrelated but may not have seemed like it at the time. Can you please try again from your residential internet service, without VPN, after uninstalling RuneMate and reinstalling it? If it still does not work, then please make a follow-up post, again from your residential internet service so I can look into whether or not your service provider is flagged.

That will be the reason why. Your ISP has been flagged unfortunately. The restriction will eventually be lifted, but if you use a VPN you can use RuneMate right now.
