Yes try temporarily turning off your firewall to see if that works. If it does, then please let me know who the firewall/antivirus vendor is so I can contact them.

i need help with this as well but it no longer says cannot connect to server it say firewall setting need to be changed

Surely they have a way to whitelist a program...McAfee and Norton firewall both block RuneMate for some reason, if you are using one of those please delete/disable them
