What OS or distro for Linux do you recomend on a really old laptop? It has 1gb of Ram and a Intel Pentiu Dual-core Inside. I want it to work.

Pretty much every Linux distro is good.
I would install Debian + LXDE on that if you're a n00b. If you want to get a bit more involved- Try Slackware, Arch Linux or Gentoo.
