Im not understanding how the vault works?
If im not on my OG PC or what runemate thinks to be my OG PC? will i be forever unable to use the vault without scraping all my characters?
I just started to attempt to use runemate last night since 2021, and i had full acess to all my accounts when i first logged on, then I logged on again and it is requesting me for a vault password, that i had never set up, im not sure what this purpose is, or what I should do, erasure would mean erasure of the accounts as I dont know the logon, its not significantly imporant to me but i am just curious as to how I should go about atteming to try to get my accounts back, I really dont know what the password would be or how to go about trying to unlock it. From what ive read you need to go on your "OG computer" but I have a randomizer that would count each desktop instance as a new PC, not sure how to go about this or how this would be a good feature.

runemate is not a password manager, so using it as one is not a great idea. runemate uses your details to enable automation (logging you in, entering your pin, etc). the vault serves as an additional layer of protection for your runescape accounts, in case someone else gains access to your runemate account.

tldr: keep your runescape accounts safe, outside of runemate as it is not a password manager

RuneMate does indeed have a non-optional security measure in place that does not allow access to saved RS credentials except on the computer it is created on unless the user provides a Vault password they must then remember and provide on a second computer to decrypt their RS credentials locally. While we empathize with your circumstance we would advise not trying to use RuneMate as a password manager and instead using a proper password manager.
