In which case it looks good to me, a quick look at Rust makes me doubt the capability of the integrated GPU but naturally there's no other choice given the prices of GPUs.

    Hey Yubi,
First , I must say I really admire the time you've taken to help people out, you tha real MVP (cringe ik)

    Budget: Best bang for buck
Intended use: Solely for botting (around 8-10 bots on average CPU/RAM usage)
    Currency: EUR

I think I should elaborate more on the purposes of the desktop since the above is still a little vague. I really just want a pc that is as cost efficient as possible. If you think it would be significantly cheaper to build a pc with, let's say, a processor that's only able to handle 6 bots, I would highly appreciate that aswell.

    Thanks in advance!

Apologies for the delay, been busy the last few days.

If you have a spare GPU lying around:
    System Builder - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core, Core 1100 MicroATX Mini Tower - PCPartPicker Belgium

If you don't have a spare GPU:
System Builder - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core, Focus G (Black) ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker Belgium

I've left the HDD blank as I'm not necessarily sure if you might have a spare HDD lying around, if not I suggest you buy the following:
    Kingston A400 120GB SSD
A nice budget SSD you can re-use at a later date.

The AMD system will perform better with botting purely because of the thread count and will be more cost efficient on the chance you have any video card to put in it, otherwise I would suggest the Intel system.
For the AMD system I also picked 1x8GB memory as the motherboard only has 2 DIMM slots, this way you can add more memory at a later date if necessary.

I must have missed the notification, apologies for replying so late

First of thank you so much for your advice. However, I feel I didn't elaborate enough on what I want to do with the computer. The computer should be able to run say 8 - 10 bots continuously for sixteen hours. I would also prefer it do be decently silent as it has to sit in my room where I have to do work related stuff (on another laptop, but it has to be decently silent for concentration purposes). I'm unsure if I made this clear enough (or clear at all) during my first post.

Is there anything I need to add to the other now that this is more clear?

    Cheers!

Each system should be rather quiet, the stock AMD Wraith cooler is rather quiet and the primary load is on the CPU so that's the primary source of noise taken care of.
The stock Intel cooler is neither good nor quiet, hence the Hyper 212 recommendation.

If you would like the system to be quieter, I would suggest a high quality case (which is an investment imo) which you can use at a later date if necessary.
Fractal Design Define C tower-behuizing Zwart, USB 3.0
That case is pre-lined with noise dampening foam, I've recommended the case a lot and I know it's quiet.

Thank you for your patience and please excuse my ignorance.

I have no computer parts lying around (no GPU nor a HDD/SDD). How would the best setup look? I ask this because I have no idea what the difference is between the HDD/SDD memory and the RAM memory (or is this complete non-sense?). Also if I take the Intel setup, do I not need a GPU?

Additionally (sorry I'm a pain, I know), if I were to expand the amount of bots I want to run, what would I need to upgrade (and if you have time would you explain why I have to upgrade that specific computer part).

Again, thank you for taking time of your day to help me out. It is much appreciated!

It's all dependent upon how much you're willing to invest into it, for example:
System Builder - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core, GeForce GT 1030 2GB Silent Low Profile, Core 1100 MicroATX Mini Tower - PCPartPicker Belgium
would be my recommended build, if you could find a 2nd hand card locally then I would 100% suggest that, as it would likely be much cheaper.

HDD/SSD = Permanent storage, data is retained if power is lost, access times are also relatively slow in comparison to RAM.
RAM = Volatile storage, data is lost when power is lost, access times are ridiculously fast.
HDD/SSD/RAM are all different, each with their own positives and negatives.
The Intel system doesn't need a GPU, it has an integrated GPU inside the CPU (iGPU).

An upgraded system to accommodate more bots would look something like:
System Builder - Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4GHz 8-Core, GeForce GT 1030 2GB Silent Low Profile, Core 1100 MicroATX Mini Tower - PCPartPicker Belgium
The two main factors that had to be changed was the CPU and RAM.
CPU and RAM are relatively self explanatory, without the processing power you will inevitably lag, the RAM change is necessary because every client will use a given amount of memory which is multiplicative per client.
The RAM change made it necessary to change the motherboard to accommodate the 3 RAM DIMMs.
    You have two options:
Buy 32GB of RAM and stick with the old motherboard (more expensive).
Buy 24GB of RAM and buy a different motherboard that can handle 3 RAM DIMMs (cheaper)
A new cooler was also picked as the upgraded processor doesn't come with a stock cooler, it's also a "top-down" cooler which means it will help cool the motherboard's power delivery, good for 24/7 operation.

I think that's just about it, may have missed something as I'm quite tired.
If you need to know anything else, I'm more than happy to go through it.

I want to start a bot farm, and do some gaming on the side like pubg. This is what I came up with, I was just wondering if you have any suggestions.
Btw this is only my second pc build and im taking some parts from my last pc to save money. Im a bit nubby if you could take it easy on me :p

I am leaning towards ryzen because from what I hear its more future proof?? Also I can afford a nicer motherboard with the ryzen setup...but I'm not even sure if that really matters tbh.
Would the intel or amd handle 10 bots, 24/7 better? Sorry not trying to be a pain in the ass, just confused.

GanjjaaSmoker - Saved Part Lists - PCPartPicker
    or

    Thanks!

The Ryzen is better in this scenario purely for the multicore performance, as for future proof? That depends almost entirely on what you're doing.
An example of this would be, my workloads are single core dependent, therefore it's better for me to use an Intel chip as opposed to an AMD one.

Everything looks good to me though I would've opted for a higher quality PSU especially with 24/7 operation in mind, but considering you are using your old one, it is what it is.
And to some degree the motherboard is important, when you're talking about several bots for long periods of time that means a lot of stress on the power delivery. So a good quality motherboard with high quality mosfets and cooling will ensure your CPU doesn't pop one day due to a failed mosfet overvolting your chip, or just delivering dirty power to it for prolonged periods of time.

TLDR: The AMD system should handle it better, though I can't realistically tell you how many bots to expect on that system.

@YubiBotter How many bots could this run, 24/7?
It also has a Quadro K4200, not sure if that matters.

    While I can't offer a number, you're looking at a 24 thread system from Q1 2010, so I wouldn't get my hopes too high.
The Quadro wouldn't really contribute to anything, that's for more specific tasks.

The best I could suggest is find out how many your PC can currently run, and roughly work out by comparing benchmark scores, this is how I typically go about estimations.

Budget: As efficient as possible, really.
    Intended use: Botting RuneScape
    Currency: CAD

    I'm looking to run 8 rs3 bots.

It's all about efficiency really, so if you can build one thats more efficient but can handle 5 bots only then that's great lol.

Would I build this? (You recommended this earlier) System Builder - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core, Focus G (Black) ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker Belgium

    I don't need monitors/ssd/peripherals. I don't care about electricity.

A server would be great as well. No preference between a PC or a server.

    Thanks!

I fell onto your thread earlier today... so considered me intrigued!

    Budget: £1,500
Intended use: Botting only. Maximum RS3 bots possible.
Currency: USD/EURO/GBP whatever gets me most bang for my proverbial buck.

    Thanks!
