Do you have your highest level diary set in the settings? That's what decides how high to stack

If you're on DMM or something else that might effect it let me know

can someone explain why the bot only runs for say an hour before it then just stops and idles until you disconnect???

The bot should be working, and there isn't really enough info here to say what's happening.

Often these kinds of issues can be fixed by restarting OSRS & Runemate (or your PC).

You could also try try disabling all plugins (besides some like GPU plugin) as some can interfere with bots (you can make a separate profile on Runelite with your current plugins saved, for using when not botting).

Feel free to test using the trial version so you don't get charged, and let me know if the issue persists.

If it does persist please send logs from effected sessions, found in Help > View Logs

The bot should be working, and there isn't really enough info here to say what's happening.

i checked the logs and it gets stuck everytime it goes to bank. It will open bank, step away, go back to bank, eat some food, deposit inventory, withdraw, eat again, then eventually stops. It says:
Bot stopped because of reason: Bot has not performed any action for about 5 minutes. At Coordinate(2655, 3286, 0), last status: 'Withdrawing food.'.

Just to check, did you try the debugging mentioned, especially disabling plugins which might interfere? Also there's a bank setting called something like "inventory actions" that allows for eating in the bank, please make sure that's enabled in game
