I did a complete remove, and tried to re install but the same message appears when trying to click 'New OSRS Client'

Do you have the official RuneScape client installed? Can you try opening it manually? RuneMate should pick it up even if you open it manually.

Seems like the updated version just needed a fresh install of OSRS client. Working again. Cheers
