Say I wanted to write something about a person's post on a bot thread. I would be forced to press reply and take up more space than necessary on the bot thread, especially if what i'm writing isnt important and is just a reaction/my thoughts on the subject. Comments would be something that do not show up when looking at the bot thread, but have an option to be viewed if the user chooses, that way they can see the important replies, and then if they want to comment on something too, they can just view all the comments nicely under the same reply, rather than having to scroll down.
This is just a suggestion though, and it is not important nor necessary, but i do think it would make bot threads cleaner by removing the spam and showing the most important things on each bot thread.
