So I found a plant outside that caught on fire in my house and the sheer amount of smoke got me curious!
It goes without saying that ban history, break usage, and player reports are the main way people get banned.
I also understand that the admission of Jagex tracking Bots from larger botting websites is potentially harmful to the image of the website.
If that is the case, I am not offended by a lack of a response!
I'm just curious! Before I left the game for a while I was close friends with Jacmob of RSBuddy and always got an earful of counter-botting measures! I appreciate the responses in advance and if you do respond prepare for potentially more questions. >
Note: I have never been banned using RuneMate.
- Does Jagex cast a wide net that tries to combat botting in general?
- If not/potentially not, do you think they use methods that learn the quirks of individual bots (Anti-Ban feature does something particularly unique, that gets logged and investigated)?
- Does the overall active user count of a bot affect ban rates?
- Are made-to-order private bots safer?
- If so, does the reasoning relate to the first two questions?
