in the beginning i had the same error, but then i went to the settings of runemate and went to compatibility there i made it run in comp mode for windows 7 and always run as administrator after that it worked just fine
Where in settings did you change it to compatibility mode? In my settings I only get simple changes like mouse multiplier, force menu interaction, "stay on top", etc.
Right-click the program on your desktop or in its folder, then click 'Properties' and then go to the tab 'Compatibility'

I just reinstalled java, ran as admin and reinstalled runemate, let it load, and try the windows 7 compatibility trick. Now it works just fine.
Damn just tried all of that. still nothing thanks for the help tho. i guess ill have to wait for @Cloud or @Arbiter to help me further
