I'm trying to get the pale wisp so i can harvest it, but its returning null

Wisps are NPCs.
Generally if something moves across the landscape, it‘s an NPC. You can also pay attention to the color of the entity in the right click menu. They have different colors depending on what they are (with a few select exceptions).

Thanks for your help, I noticed it was a npc later on
