Current plan is to display a notification where they currently are at the top of the client when something is down. A permanent indicator is pointless because downtime occurs very rarely.

I just feel it needs to be obvious - notifications get bundled amongst forum content, users can forget to check them.

Whether it is frequently used or not, it would save a lot of admin + bot author time during situations like the last couple of weeks.
