OSRS should i put def on my pure?

alright so i got a 1 def pure wit 60att 75str 75 range and im coming to term that i fucking suck a group pking lol and i love to go pvm should i say fuck it and go for def or make a new acc that has def on it and make it my main? i wanna but idk i love my 1 def p2p for some reason even tho i dont pk much
