Hi, i'm very new to this and wondering what i'm doing wrong, i followed Party's guide in setting up Intelij but when i try to run my hello world bot, i get the following error; "Exception in thread "Post Login Setup" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/Joffler/bots/tutorial_bot/Tutorialbot has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 56.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0" is this because my JRE is to up to date for rune mates client? I am very ignorant to all this and would appreciate any help, thanks for reading
You'd probably want to check the JDK/JRE Intelij is using (v56.0) and change it to a lower version (v52.0). This might help https://mkyong.com/intellij/how-to-change-the-intellij-idea-jdk-version/ (first google result) or just uninstall everything (Intellij, JDK's, JRE's, RM). And reinstalled it so you have the latest version of everything.
My sdk was too high of a version for the jre, i thought we had to pay to download old versions of java apparently i was wrong, thanks for the help Negrita
