A vpn doesnt necessarly let you use bots without being banned, what it does is mask your ip and allow you to run your bots from your pc but it will appear from a different ip. This can be useful to avoid chain bans and any links to your own personal ip

If your own IP is not flagged I highly recommend using your own. The chance someone else used the VPN IP prior to you and got it flagged isn't that small.
