    Hey mates,

Have enjoyed messing about with runemate on an alt lately and am curious if any of the longer time users have noticed a correlation to membership or lack thereof and bans/warnings?

Seems reasonable for a business standpoint to not be as eager to ban member accts, but reasonable does not always mean reality. Thanks for the input.

It is a "known" thing that p2p accounts last longer. Why, no idea. Some people think Jagex bans you less quickly hoping you'll buy a 2nd month/2nd bond prior to getting the banhammer.

Jagex is a company and money is what they're interested in. If you spend money, Jagex is less willing to get rid off you.

Makes sense. Interesting thing being if you can pull down 1.5m day with a bot/s after 13 days the bond buyer still comes out ahead if able to offload/use resources.

I'm pretty sure that the banrates differ. I think that their system prioritizes some groups of accounts to save resources on the others.
For example they observe f2p players more effectively because many bot farms are f2p to lower the input costs.

Another good example would be the very very new accounts, that's why tutorial island bots are pretty useless and most accounts get banned from them. Jagex could have very resource-expensive algorithms for mouse movement which they only use to filter out potential bot-farm accounts.

Even Clouse has a bot-like behaviour in a certain scope, because for example, when interacting, the mouse moves to a point, and clicks it when finished moving.
A human's mouse movement is not that precise, we click while still moving, or move the mouse slightly after a click, or predict npc and camera movement, which impacts our mouse movement aswell. Those little things (mouse was just a potential example) would be very inefficient to look at for every single user.

Your speculation is probably correct. Banning F2P accounts makes Jagex look like they're doing something and these bans make up the statistics that Jagex spews. They hold P2P accounts near and dear, milking more money from the user.
