looks like scam. to be sure go to your local library onto a computer and open the link to see. dont give any account information. also just login to your rs acc and see if you got a black mark
Elaborate phishing attempt. The login page is fake, notice the incorrect domain extension. They are using a .in (india) and masking it with .com-d.in The login page will accept any username/password (type whatever), it will then ask you for your bank pin by using a well made copy of the ingame bank pin screen. It will then move you to an authenticator screen and ask you to input authenticator info. Finally, it will move you to a RuneScape forums mirror. Any link you open there will mirror the actual RS website. TLDR; very elaborate SCAM.
Removing the link to prevent potential fallout. If you ever have any doubts regarding your RuneScape account, navigate to the official website yourself. Do not follow links provided in emails from companies like Blizzard and RuneScape under any circumstances, even if you are sure they come from the legitimate source. --- Double Post Merged, Jul 15, 2016, Original Post Date: Jul 15, 2016 --- Also this isn't technically true, back in RSBuddy days they sent out an in-game mail to all people who they expected to be bots threatening legal action (using a list of leaked emails from either Powerbot or the Nexus lawsuit). They were quickly put back in their place.
They don't usually send that kinds of e-mails to the average joe. Not to mention, the ones they sent during rsbuddy and nexus were to big goldfarmers and scr1pt writers.
It was an interesting one to say the least, it wasn't just to goldfarmers and writers, I know that I got one. I'm pretty sure they got threatened right back by Jacmob/Arbi and they apologised for it - long time ago though.
Hmm didn't know that they pulled shit like that to casual botters. The case, like the one OT, with RWT seems very unlikely that they'll go on with legal actions though. Phishing attempts like these are way way too typical. For example, Jagex would never say stuff like "all your accounts, main and otherwise"
Yeah, I mean the email is littered with grammatical errors, and common sense would dictate that any email saying "you've been found rule-breaking, but it might be our mistake, check it out using this link" is a little fishy.

what would be considered a big goldfarmer where they would send an email? 40k/year? also jagex said that they sued some ibot users/gold farmers. anyone know how much they had to pay or were they not sued if they promised not to bot again?
