    Literally this ^

Some kids who have never held power in their life being "chosen" to look all macho on a sub-forum is never good. My scam forum got addressed within hours and the person got banned right when kaz posted.

There's far too little trade activity for reports to deserve their own section.
Any offsite scammers should be permabanned on sight, though. With the exception of people who "scamquit", very rarely do scammers stop scamming after they've been banned on another website.

    Right so...a reply of sorts.

    1. Handing over control to users won't happen
    2. There are more Staff on these forums than just me who assist with moderation duties; some (such as myself) are more visible than others
    3. There are always two sides to a story
    4. Scam reports are always taken seriously and acted on when appropriate
    5. There is not a high enough volume of trades to warrant a dedicated scam subforum

If a user has an issue with a trade, I would encourage them to post an informative thread with supporting evidence on the forums. This means posting information that we as an outsider can easily understand instead of having to decipher/comb through meaningless information. Posting information which requires us to guess who said what / what actually happened is a surefire way to delay action taken against the scammer.

As explained in the RuneMate General Market Rules thread, RuneMate takes no responsibility for any transaction on this website, however we will do our best to take action when appropriate.

Moving forward, I will add a scam report template to the above thread which users will be required to use if they want RuneMate staff to look in to things.

He didn't scam anyone though did he?

@OT, even though OP is banned, things like that should be taken out privately.

I don't know how this falls under the category of "scamming"

scamming and ddos/rats are most deffinately not the same. scamming, is more along the lines of getting any form of currency or product without paying, in the form of lying, or misleading another party. DDOS/Rats are deliberate attacks on a person to altar a persons computer or networking services. Rats , in the terms of how he meant, were to infect computers and create "zombies" ... I do not see these as being the same in any way... Just stating my opinion+

EDIT --- so no he did not scam anyone

Because he used his "trust" on the site to try and get RSGP.

    How is that not scamming?

Last time I checked, offering services in exchange for RSGP is not scamming.
