I don't know how you guys got hacked but it wasn't any of the client developers nor any of the bot authors here. The client's code is accessible to both me and @Arbiter and we wouldn't let each other do anything malicious, and we take that so seriously that we even manually review every change that bot authors try to publish to their bots. In addition to the manual review, we have an automated system that automatically blocks and/or flags commonly abused method calls and class accesses.
Has anyone ever noticed how the people that claim they got "hacked" by runemate never post except to say they got hacked? I've never seen a legit active member say they have been hacked. It's obviously bs, I've had billions of gold on accounts while logged in with Runemate and never had a single problem. If your getting hacked it's your own fault, not Runemate's. It's as simple as that. Don't go downloading random porn, or hacked games, gold generators..etc and just use common sense while on the internet and you should have no problems.
It sucks, that you got hacked. But I can guarantee you, it wasn't the runemate client or one of the bots. The only way it could have been a bot is if you went against the rules with a bot author and had them give you a private bot outside of our system. The sad reality of the situation is that it's often the people you least suspect. Review the posts in that thread for more likely alternatives than RuneMate. It's virtually impossible (and I say virtually because I'm only 99.9999% sure) that it's RuneMate. I am sorry for your loss, but the only help I can offer is pointing you in the right direction to figuring out what happened.
^^^^ Tribot is too well known as is runemate, both are very well made and have so much work put into them there is no way they would do this, topbot on the other hand seems very sketchy
