    I got hacked and lost 605m on august 22. malwarebytes and NOD32 didn't find anything. what steps should i take to clean my pc of a remote access trojan,, or whatever else it may be?

    You want 100% certainty that your computer is clean? Format your hard drive - this will delete everything on it however.

    Make sure you have an up to date, official (read: non-cracked) version of an anti-virus; perform regular scans and use the authenticator on your account(s).

    Use two factor authentication, on both Runemate and Runescape.

    That's a work in progress, sadly. Not many OSRS scripts bots that make good money. Once I get back from my deployment I'm gunna be ramping up the botting though, whereas now I have 2 accounts. 1 I don't bot on and 1 that I do, and only a couple hours every day (sometimes every other day)

    hate to say it, but as much as the staff whomever say it wasn't rm, tell that to me. I lost ~30m, on a muler so its w/e idgaf. However, a different mule that has never logged into rm, still has all my gold, fury/whip etc. and both are logged in daily. just seems odd. like i said idgaf, but i can say without a certain it's not 100% the end user's fault. funnily enough today trying to log into spectre, I had to reset my pass. wonder why?

    Nobody in the Staff team had any interest in stealing your GP. Most of us don't even play the game.

    You were most likely hacked because somebody else had access to your Runemate account, and logged into their client on your account, meaning they could start a bot and spectre would log them in.

    And just to clarify - people get access to your password via database dumps from other sites. It happens all the time. It's neither your fault, nor Runemates, it just happens. And it's why, if you're going to enter your RS acc info you should be using two factor.

    Got one account hacked this week too, I don't believe the creators of RuneMate are involved, but I do believe something is off.

    i really dont care, nor did i say any RM staff did it. It was more than likely some kind of leak. doesnt bother me, 30m is nothing to me
