My experiments show that taking breaks every 50 - 75 minutes for 7 - 13 minutes reduces ban rates by a buttload. (goldfarm too strong now.)
What about it? To be honest, I always botted on my home IP. Then again I only got banned once in 5 years so it was very doubtful that my IP could get flagged or whatever.
Maybe it's nothing, but on my mac i botted 2 days in a row and no bans, and when i was on my windows computer i botted a few hours and was banned. On my mac i have the random.dat file read only and on my windows it is read and writeable.. Can this be something?
This I'd love to get in to, same counts towards the post Arbiter made. No, why would JaGex have the ability to read files stored on your computer? Regarding the safely botting; - Randomising wouldn't make you less suspicious, regular players always play at night after school, so why shouldn't you? I, as one same guy as Arb, have nearly 10 years experience, so More points will be made when I get sober
When you run Runescape you accept that jagex puts files on your computer and has the ability to read files. That's why they have access to files stored.
My bad, wasn't exactly thinking this through since well... Alcohol. Do you think they check the random file, and... what was it used for again?
if you empty the file and lock it you can log in to multiple accounts on 1 computer. I don't know everything they store in it but since i locked it i haven't been banned on any botting client.
I thought that too at one point, but after 5 years of botting hardcore Jagex picked me out and it cost me my near max cape main account. If you value your account it's best to stay safe regardless.
Got bored waiting for GTA5 to release on PC, giving botting another go see how long it takes till I get banned. I will be trying to change shit up, do quests etc.

This should clarify it for most people. I've been botting for years, achieving many 99's over loads of different accounts. I only got banned whenever I pushed the bot to run over 10 hours... Greediness.
